  • Testing Technician

    This individual will work directly with electronic devices within a manufacturing environment. The main focus of this role is to investigate PCBA failures, diagnose the root cause, and suggest solutions to prevent future failures.  This individual will troubleshoot circuit problems while applying theory and related knowledge to install rebuild or repair electronic equipment as needed.  This individual will work on the production floor directly with products.

    Job Duties

    • Production line testing of micro-electronic systems and circuits.
    • Diagnose, test, and analyze the performance of electrical components, assemblies, or systems.
    • Troubleshoot malfunctioning electronic circuitry to the parts level.
    • Have a strong knowledge of circuit boards, be able to analyze electronic circuit designs and read schematics
    • Make recommendations for replacement or modification of electrical equipment.
    • Effectively characterize technical issues arising from unfavorable yields or new implementations and collaborate with technical support resources to identify solutions.
    • Coordinate enhanced testing efforts to identify the root cause of field failures and write technical reports back to the customer.

    Requirements

    • Diploma or higher in Electrical, Electronics or Communication engineering required.
    • Minimum 1-2 years related work experience in the electronics manufacturing industry
    • Working knowledge of component level electronics.
    • Excellent analysis skills
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, e.g. Excel, Outlook, Word
    • Good technical writing skills
    • Available to work overtime
  • Inventory Clerk

    The inventory Clerk will primarily be responsible for monitoring inventory levels and advising employees on the appropriateness of material, equipment, merchandise or supplies. This position will conduct physical inventory counts and compare the results to inventory records for verification, ensuring proper investigation and documentation of any inventory discrepancies. The Inventory Clerk must be highly organized and able to work with minimal supervision.

     

    Job Duties

    • Unpack and check quantities of inventory received
    • Pull parts for Lead Hands
    • Monitor inventory levels
    • Cycle counting
    • Deal with work orders
    • Some heavy lifting required
    • Other duties shall be assigned as required

     

    Requirements

    • Previous experience in inventory position
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Organization skills and attention to detail.
    • Basic computer skills
    • Punctual and reliable with a good work ethic
    • Good oral and written communication abilities

     

    Work Conditions

    • Work is conducted in a manufacturing environment and requires lifting or moving materials (up to [50) lbs., pushing, pulling, bending, walking and standing.

  • SMT Operator

    This position performs the function of operating the surface mount assembly equipment.

    Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Changeovers, loading proper components onto MyData pick and place machine, unloading feeders
    • Using solder paste stencil machine and reflow oven
    • Streamline changeovers/run times minimizing downtime
    • Developing manufacturing processes in the Circuit Board manufacturing
    • Programming Mydata SMT equipment, Orbotech AOI equipment, Electrovert wave soldering equipment and OPUS Selective Soldering equipment.
    • Ordering stencils

     

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Proficient in operating equipment in the SMT process (EKRA stencil printers, Mydata SMT equipment, Electrovert Omniflow reflow ovens, OPUS Selective solder and Soltech Reflow equipment)
    • 2 or more years experience in the operation of Mydata Surface Mount equipment
    • Experience using CircuitCAM or full Aegis software package
    • Ability to identify components

     

  • PCB Inspector

    The PCB Inspector will be responsible for the efficient production of products according to established procedures, following all safety protocols and workplace policies.  This is a labour intensive position requiring individuals to perform repetitive tasks.

     

    Job Duties

    • Final inspection – Checking for bad solder, missing components, and defects on printed circuit boards (PCB)
    • Manually assemble various electronic components on PCB
    • Hand soldering of through-hole and SMT
    • Use of microscopes
    • Understand and review the product through specified production process, recognizing areas of defect and taking appropriate actions to rectify them.
    • Perform all work to organizational standards to ensure final product meets quality standards.
    • Determine and report product and equipment malfunctions to the appropriate authority.
    • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned work area at all times.
    • Work effectively as part of a team to ensure productivity and efficiency.
    • Assure the daily and weekly production schedule is adhered to.
    • Participate in educational and training opportunities applicable to the position.
    • Other duties shall be assigned as required

     

    Requirements

    • 2+ years’ experience doing hand soldering and small component assembly
    • Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination skills
    • IPC Standard Certification considered an asset
    • Experience with through-hole and SMT
    • Previous production work considered an asset.
    • Willing and able to follow specific instructions.
    • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with little supervision.
    • Ability to work as a team.
    • Commitment to accuracy and detail oriented.
    • Good oral and written communication abilities
    • Ability to perform under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment.

       

 

  •  Production Assembler

    The Production Assembler will be responsible for working on the production line of the company. This individual will be required to perform tasks involving physical labor and will be required to operate a variety of hand and power tools.  This is a labour intensive position requiring individuals to perform repetitive tasks.

    Job Duties

    • Read drawings and other technical diagrams
    • Bolt, screw, clip, weld, solder or otherwise fasten parts and components together using hand and power tools and equipment
    • Operate and tend automated assembling equipment such as robotic and fixed automation equipment
    • Connect cables, tubes and wires to complete assemblies and installations
    • Position and install parts, subassemblies and accessories using hand and power tools and other aids like overhead hoists
    • Mark, record and report defects
    • Operate and attend to manual and automated equipment in the production process operation.
    • Understand and review the product through specified production process, recognizing areas of defect and taking appropriate actions to rectify them.
    • Perform all work to organizational standards to ensure final product meets quality standards.
    • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned work area at all times.
    • Work effectively as part of a team to ensure productivity and efficiency.
    • Assure the daily and weekly production schedule is adhered to.
    • Ensure all equipment is operated according to equipment manufactures instructions and safety guidelines are followed.
    • Participate in educational and training opportunities applicable to the position.
    • Other duties shall be assigned as required.
